Education for Sustainable Living Program
The Education for Sustainable Living Program is a coalition of students
from five of the UC campuses working to bring issues of sustainability
into mainstream university curriculum by organizing an annual
sustainability lecture series.
The Davis Campus Greens is a very active student organization working
for social justice, grassroots democracy, ecology and non-violence on
the Davis campus and beyond.
ITS is one of the world's leading university programs on travel
behavior, advanced environmental vehicle technology, and environmental
impacts of transportation.
SAREP is a statewide program within UC Agriculture and Natural
Resources. It was created through the grass roots efforts of
organizations and individuals concerned about the environmental impacts
of agriculture, the health of rural communities, and the profitability
of family farming operations in California.
The National Institute for Global Environmental Change is a funded
activity of the U.S. Department of Energy. NIGEC focuses its attention
at a regional level by dividing the U.S. into six separate regions in
order to take into account geographical and geological diversity when
researching the consequences of environmental change for the United
States.
Civil and Environmental Engineering Department offers graduate and
undergraduate instruction and research in the field of Civil and
Environmental Engineering. The department offers studies in
Transportation Planning, Water Resource Engineering and other topics
important to our built and natural environments.
The Environmental Sciences and Policy department offers a Bachelor of
Science degree in two different undergraduate majors, Environmental
Biology and Management (EBM) and Environmental Policy and Analysis
(EPAP).
Environmental Toxicology Department offers graduate and undergraduate
instruction and research in the field of Environmental Toxicology (the
study of how chemicals move through the environment).
This Administrative Unit oversees most all of the campuses operations,
such as transportation services, purchasing, technological development
and safety issues.
This division of OOA works to serve the transportation needs of the
campus by planning and operating parking facilities and alternative
transportation projects.
The Office of Resource Management and Planning oversees the planning,
design and construction of new campus projects, as well as providing
various operational services and guiding the overall development of the
campus.
